At Wisconsin Organics, we're proud of the fresh, natural dairy products we put on your family's table. Milk that tastes like fresh milk should taste. Cheeses that are organic and delicious. Butter that you will see a difference before you even taste the difference! And more fine dairy products that are still to come.
We're also proud, however, of how we're helping to support family farmers, small cheese factories, and rural communities all across America's Dairyland.
For now, at least, organic dairy production is giving small family farms a better chance of competing with corporate factory farms. For one thing, they're able to sell organic milk for a slightly higher price. Yes, it's more work to produce. But going organic also means higher input costs - smaller vet bills and, obviously, no bills at all for things like bovine growth hormones, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Additional fuel cost and human labor can cause higher prices.
